One of Van Gogh's lesser-known sunflower paintings is a stunning example of the versatility of the Dutch master as he captures gorgeous sunflowers in a completely different style than we are used to. I have used the two primary colours within this painting and blended them seamlessly in the yarn, highlighting the deep blues of the background and the bright yellow of the sunflower.
This Peruvian yarn is a 4 ply made from 75% Superwash Merino wool and 25% nylon, which is soft to touch and won't be itchy next to the skin, whilst having elasticity. The fibers have been specially treated before being spun to enable it to be machine washable, therefore it will not ‘felt’ when washed, it is a great easy-care yarn - but please be gentle with your hand knits!
