This yarn is from my series based around the paintings of Monet. This particular yarn is inspired by his 1874 painting Impressionist Sunrise, one of the fledgling paintings of the impressionist movement. Impressionist Sunrise uses frantic brush strokes and mark making to capture the light and reflections in the painting. The yarn features azure blues that blend with regal purples with a hint of glowing orange thrown into the mix.
This luxurious yarn is a perfect blend of superfine merino wool and mulberry silk. Merino wool is soft to touch, whilst the silk adds a shiny smooth lustre and feels soft and luxurious to work with. This smooth yarn is perfect for wearing close to your skin so would suit a luxury shawl for those cooler summer evenings. With 425m (465 yds) per 100g there is a little more yarn to go that little bit further, you could make a decent-sized knitted shawl out of one skein. This yarn can be used for many projects including cardigans, tops and other garments.
