In the middle of the mess that was 2020, I was lucky enough to have a 'staycation' in Cornwall this summer and visited a socially distanced Tate St Ives. Whilst at the gallery I saw some inspirational art from some of the best of British talent including the beautifully bright Moonship 1972 by the Cornish-based artist Terry Frost. The vibrant colours really stand out to me and the shapes Frost has created are of a pleasing composition. I have worked hard to ensure my dye has taken as brightly to the wool as Frost's screenprint is to the eye.
This Peruvian yarn is a standard 4 Ply made from 100% Superwash Merino wool which is soft to touch and won't be itchy next to the skin. The fibres have been specially treated before being spun to enable it to be machine washable, therefore it will not ‘felt’ when washed, it is a great easy-care yarn - but please be gentle with your hand knits!
