Abstract expressionist Mark Rothko's paintings are prime examples of the colour field style. Rothko layers up his work with thin layers to eventually create abstract blocks of colour. When dyeing this yarn, I too build upon layers of dye to create the rich, colourful yarns you see here. Purple, Pink, Orange is in my range of colour field yarns and builds on pretty a mixture of deep orange, smooth pink and rich purple colours.
This is a very durable yarn due to the addition of the 25% Nylon but keeps it's soft touch and natural elasticity as it contains 75% Merino. This is a strong and hard-wearing yarn and is perfect for cozy bed socks and super warm walking or ski socks. It is a standard DK yarn perfect for any DK project including sweaters, scarves and hats.
