The Arnolfini Portrait by Northern Renaissance artist Jan van Eyck, painted way back in 1434 is a symbolic reflection of 13th century Europe. Depicting Italian merchant Giovanni di Nicolao Arnolfini and his wife, the painting also features a loyal dog and a complex mirror reflecting the passion of Christ. The rich, luxurious colours of medieval clothing and four-poster bed give this yarn a regal feel.
This is a very durable yarn due to the addition of the 25% Nylon but keeps it's soft touch and natural elasticity as it contains 75% Merino. This is a strong and hard-wearing yarn and is perfect for cozy bed socks and super warm walking or ski socks. It is a standard DK yarn perfect for any DK project including sweaters, scarves and hats.
