Frankenthaler painted the Sea Change series over the course of eleven years whilst residing in Connecticut, USA. The Sea Change series, as the title suggests, documents the changes Frankenthaler witnessed in the waters off Shippan Point, Long Island South. This colourway is based on her Shippan Point, Twilight 1980 painting, a foggy blue twilight scene over the murky water.
This is a very durable yarn due to the addition of the 25% Nylon but keeps it's soft touch and natural elasticity as it contains 75% Merino. This is a strong and hard-wearing yarn and is perfect for cozy bed socks and super warm walking or ski socks. It is a standard DK yarn perfect for any DK project including sweaters, scarves and hats.
